How It All Started
I believe people are important, homes are important, health is important, and Texas is important.
I remember wading through flood waters during the Tax Day Flood just to get groceries. Even then, nature didn’t relent and hit us with Hurricane Harvey, which devastated lives so close to me. My grandparents’ and my friends’ homes incurred severe damage. I was in Friendswood at seemingly the only apartment complex that was relatively untouched. I joined a volunteer crew to help mitigate water damage in houses like many of us did during that time.
That was the start of me doing ground-level work to help people who had just experienced a tragedy and were faced with such uncertainty. I had helped people go back to their homes. The fulfillment that I got from helping people in these situations was simple and profound. This led me to where I am today.

How It Started
I’ve lived in Houston all my life; growing up, I lived in Channelview out on the east side of town, but as time passed, I’ve lived across Houston.
I remember from a young age cleaning up my parent’s home after Hurricane Ike and, more recently, helping my friends with their flood damage after Hurricane Harvey. The biggest thing I’ve taken from those experiences is that it takes a whole team of people working together to get this done safely and efficiently. Each team member needs to stay goal-oriented, and that’s what we plan to do for you.
